I’m Douglas Jones, and I work for Corcoran Icon Properties. I made a vow to myself when I
started in this business to do professional appraisals and to have a comprehensive knowledge
of current market conditions. I present those factors to my client up front, and it won’t be a pie-in-the-sky story, but one that is based on reality. This is vital because it establishes my
creditability and starts us down an achievable goal rather than wasting time on false starts.

In addition, I bring a thorough knowledge of the Oakland, Piedmont, and Alameda area. My
family and I have lived in the Upper Rockridge area of Oakland for ten years. I know the
territory – the neighborhoods, the schools, the traffic patterns, and much of the history.
Currently, our daughter is a freshman at Holy Names High School, and my wife manages the
development of a French luxury brand in North America. Over the years, we have developed
many close personal friends and professional relationships, and we lean on those people for
their community insights.
